Q. A candle is sold out — will it be restocked?
Short answer: maybe, but no guarantee!
I do my best to make a quantity of candles to fit the demand. However, I am one person and this is a part-time gig, so I can’t always keep up with demand. If a candle is sold out, there’s a good chance it won’t come back as I have a thousand ideas for candles and limited time on this earth, so we move on quickly. This is why I announce new candles ahead of time and encourage everyone to snag one while it’s in the shop. That being said, if I felt a candle was particularly well-liked by everyone, and I have the means to do so, I’d like to bring it back.
Q. How often are candles released or restocked?
There is no set schedule for candle releases. Since I am in grad school and have moved to a much smaller house for candle-making, I no longer have the time or space to create large releases every month like I did with Gunn Dean Candle Co. I will try to release a few new candles quarterly for seasonal collections as well as a few candles here and there as time and inspiration strike. I highly suggest you follow the Foxbreath IG page for up-to-date information about releases.

Q. Will you bring back candles you’ve done previously under the name of Gunn Dean Candle Co?
I have no concrete plans of candles to reproduce. A lot of my notes and formulations have been lost in the past few years and some fragrance oils have been discontinued by suppliers in that time. If I were to bring back candles, there’s no guarantee that they’d be exactly the same. However, there are a lot of candles I’ve made that I’m quite proud of, and miss, and would be open to brewing for the shelves once more. If there is a candle that you’d love to see redone, please send my a message here or on IG to let me know!
Shipping & Returns
Shipping Information
Order processing time is 2-3 weeks after receiving payment. Orders are sent via USPS with a tracking number which you’ll receive once your order has been packaged and shipped. Typical transit time is anywhere around 5 days within the contiguous United States, up to 2-3 weeks for international shipping destinations.
Shipping rates vary. Please note the prices are listed in USD.
United States — $6.95 for under 1lbs, $8.95 for 1.1-2lbs, $10.95 for 2.1-3lbs and for forth.
Canada — $13.95 for under 1lbs, $15.95 for 1.1-2lbs, and $17.95 for 2.1-2lbs and so forth.
Everywhere Else – $24.00 for under 2lbs, $34.00 for 2-3lbs, $44.00 for 3-4lbs, $54.00 for 4-5lbs, and so forth.
*The average weight of a single candle to ship is 15oz.
I am aware that shipping prices outside of the US are a bit high and I apologize. Candles are heavy things and shipping costs are outside of my hands. I’ve done by best to offer flat rate shipping, averaging the price on the low end of the scale.
Customs
Customs charges are fees placed on your package by your home country when they are processed through your home country's customs. They are often based on the item value amount of the order. Not all packages will have custom charges, but Gunn Dean Candle Co has no way of predicting how much they may be.
It is the responsibility of the international buyer to be knowledgeable of the laws pertaining to their country and to be prepared for any fees placed on their package at the time of delivery. Fees placed on the package are out of the control of us as the seller. We are not liable for any customs charges or fees on orders placed outside of the US.
We are also not responsible for any time taken during shipping where your package is held at customs. Again, as the seller, holding times in customs are 100% out of our control.
Replacements or Issues
We of course want you to be happy with your new candles! We offer replacements with the following criteria.
Replacements
Sometimes candles can get damaged by the carrier on their way in transit. These damages are not the responsibility of Foxbreath studio, however we will work with you to make the best out of the situation!
Please contact me immediately upon receiving your item if it is damaged. I will need to file a claim with the post office. I cannot process any refunds or replacements unless I have received verification of the damage (i.e. pictures) that I may send in the claim to the post office.
The processing time for replacements varies as I must wait for the conduction of the claim processed. Depending on the damage or how long I was contacted after the delivery, I may not be able to provide a replacement or full refund.
Please be aware that frosting is natural with soy wax and I am not responsible for any damage sustained by the candle once it has been lit. For example, I advise every candle-owner to practice proper candle care. If the candle begins to tunnel because of lack of care, this is not something I will be able to replace or refund. Also, since the candles are made with all natural ingredients, the wax can sometimes turn yellow over time if exposed consistently to direct sunlight.
Exchanges
Currently we cannot offer exchanges for candles at the moment.
